More links with little comment: Shatner, 50 films again, bad comics, Janeway, Ansel Adams

More good stuff that speaks for itself:

  • Interview with William Shatner. Interesting (and talkative) character.
  • The 50 refuses to die. Here's The Sight & Sound List: Guy Maddin (of The Saddest Music in the World fame). There's some crazy suggestions here, but most of them, even if not worthy of top-50ness, are worth seeing.
  • Yes, these are pretty terrible. 15 Kids Comics That Have Deservedly Been Forgotten.
  • In defense of Captain Janeway: I'm not sure why Voyager gets a bad rap, or Janeway along with it. I will grant that it's no TNG in overall satisfaction, but the acting is uniformly better (was Patrick Stewart the only professional they could afford on the earlier show, or did they just not bother hiring any other actors once they had one that superior in the bag?) and they even had a tame Borg. Extra credit: Who was Seven of Nine's father? Ernest Borgnine!
  • The least likely set of Ansel Adams photos imaginable. LIFE AT OLYMPIC TRAILER COURT BY ANSEL ADAMS, 1940
