- When words du jour are added to the dictionary, even in the computer age, that usually means that they are words d'hier. 35 Modern Words Recently Added to the Dictionary contains a few ringers (Po-Po? Totes?) but most of them look like they're in for a fairly decent run. It's nice to see the OED (or, I guess, the ODO) is trying to keep up.
