He's not making this up: The official MLA word on citing tweets!

How Do You Cite a Tweet in an Academic Paper?

And no, it's not April 1: MLA link.

Sixes and sevens

First of all, I've wanted to start a commentary on the Times bestseller list for a while. Done: http://grinwouts.blogspot.com/2012/03/sunday-survey.html (Forgive shameless self-promotion, but it's the only kind I've got.)

I spent yesterday wondering what I'm doing with my life. This comes of not being in a tabroom on a Saturday. I was at sixes and sevens, stumbling around the chez in a haze, wondering what to do next. I always find the transition to (from?) normality in the Spring difficult. To wit, I have exactly two more gigs lined up: the CatNats qualifier (NYC on St Paddy's day, no less) and the State finals. Then I pack it in, take the printer out of the car and replace it with the golf clubs, and that's that. Then again, it was nice and warm yesterday, and I did stop my stumbling around long enough to take a little walk in the sun. Maybe the off-season won't be so bad...

Render unto debate, etc.

I gave up and created a new aggregation blog called Grinwout's. I'm back to obsessively poring over RSS feeds and reading web pages and trying to find the good stuff. None of it has to do with debate, though. But is that all you ever think about, you spalpeen? Why don't you broaden your horizons a little bit, before it's too late? Let me be the one to break it to you: It's not all just PICs and RVIs and Snooki's pregnancy!

Jeesh! Go to Grinwout's.

(And, well, maybe it is all about Snooki's pregnancy, but we can pretend, can't we?)

For those of us who believe in the power of education

And the powerless of a lack thereof: A 13-Year-Old's Slavery Analogy Raises Some Uncomfortable Truths in School

Privacy

I maintain it's because adults are more inclined to assume that it doesn't matter, which is pretty dumb...

Surprise! Teens Care More About Online Privacy Than You Think/
